One of the great doxologies in the Bible, Romans 11:33-36 reads: “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.”
In this text, which is a passionate magnification of God’s sovereignty, highest glory is ascribed to Him for several reasons.
First, all things are from Him – that is, He is the source of all that comes to pass.
Second, all things are through Him – that is, He is the means by which all things come.
Third, all things are to Him – that is, He is the appointed end or highest good which all things aim.
This theocentric realization alone gives glory to God.
